I'm having a problem connecting to the myRIO I'm working with. It seems that I can only successfully connect to the myRIO when connected to my own wireless network at home, when disconnected from any network or connected to a different wireless network LabVIEW will lock up when attempting to connect (that is, right click on the device in the project window, connect). It halts on preparing files for download. I've reinstalled the real-time side of LabVIEW, formatted the myRIO and reset network parameters to defaults, but this doesn't seem to help. Also added any IPs associated with the myRIO TCP connection to my firewall and the VI server options, no dice. Definitely a weird issue to come across!
Additional info:
using LV13.0f2 32-bit
myRIO1900
Win7 64-bit

dkarns,
Do you by chance have the ad hoc wireless mode enabled? If so, please see the following article:
Cannot Connect to myRIO after Enabling Ad Hoc Wireless Mode
http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/EA465C8C05B703C086257D030068D893?OpenDocument
If not, are you able to ping the device or at least see it in MAX?

I don't have the ad hoc wireless mode enabled, and I can see and control the myRIO in NI MAX.

Hello dkarns,
If you are seeing and communicating with your device in NI MAX without error, have you double checked that the IP address of the device in your Project Explorer window matches up with the device IP address in MAX? If you have been changing networks or disconnecting then reconnecting the device, it may have changed it's IP address which is automatically detected by MAX, but set to a particular address in your project.
Also, are you running on the most up-to-date kernel?

Erin,
The IPs both match up in the project and in MAX, and I believe I am running the latest kernel. This myRIO device seems to work on my desktop without a hitch, and works on my laptop while connected to my home network, but seems to lock labview up when attempting to connect under any other circumstances.
Another error I found in the log:

Hello dkarns,
Could you please send us a couple of screenshots? What I'm looking for is your Network Settings tab within NI-MAX. I would like to see this screenshot for a network that your myRIO can connect to successfully, as well as when you are having trouble connecting to the network. This will help us get a better idea of what your current setup is. Also, I know that you mentioned adding exceptions to your firewall for this device, but have you tried completely turning off your firewall temporarily in order to rule out a firewall obstacle?

When you try to connect under "other circumstances," is it safe to assume you are on a different network? That sounds like the only possible way to be under different circumstances. If so, is the myRIO set to grab an IP automatically? In this case, it would be pulling a new IP. Does this IP match the subnet and project while on this network or is it still set for your home network?

Zuhair.ak,
The issue that you are experiencing is not related to this thread. I would recommend either starting a new thread or posting to one that is more applicable.
However I would recommend making sure that you can communicate with the device in NI MAX. When you repost this question I would also recommend adding some screenshots so that people can see what you are talking about.
