Hi,
I bought a new myRIO. But I noticed that ADC/DAC speeds are slow. I also have an Digilent Analog Discovery. Its ADC / DAC speeds are higher. myRIO is more expensive than Analog Discovery. I don't understand why myRIO is expensive. What frequency range does myRIO operate? Is there a module that increases the frequency?

Hi mustafayilmaz,
The Digilent Analog Discovery and the National Instruments MyRIO are used for very different applications.
The Digilent Analog Discovery is a software-defined oscilloscope and instrumentation device whereas the National Instruments MyRIO is an embedded solution designed to be used controls, mechatronics, and other electronics projects. The MyRIO also has an on-board processor as well as an on-board FPGA. The Digilent Analog Discovery is designed for excitation and measurement of circuits and devices whereas the MyRIO is designed to be embedded within an application/project.
The maximum sample rate of the Analog Input of the MyRIO is 500kS/s. You could potentially increase the sampling rate of your application by using external ADC circuitry and by using the digital lines of the MyRIO but the MyRIO is not designed to be used with very high analog frequencies.
