Trying to get RAMP input function as an input to my BLDC motor

Hi,

I quite new to Labview and I'm trying to build a ramp function as a voltage input to my BLDC motor. I've currently coded using shift registers, which increments every cycle and delivers the final rpm that was initially declared and then stays at that. Once I toggle my switch the rpm starts falling using another shift register till it reaches zero and stops. Here when I toggle my switch of the rpm to fall, the rpm reaches zero and rises back and keeps fluctuating. I fail to understand why also is there a better way to provide a ramp input? I'm using the NI9269 module for this.
