ELVISmx Instrument Launcher has stopped working

I recently accepted to install various "critical' updates, including one that I seem to remember had ELVIS in its name.

When I plugged in my myDAQ, the Instrument Launcher, as it has before the updates, tried to start but immediately stopped with the Windows (7 Pro) message.that it "stopped working". The updated files in the directory are dated 3/26/2018. Here is the list of Problem Details, in the hope that someone can help me find out what the problem might be and how to resolve it:

Hello, and thanks for the response. I will take a look at the link to the myDAQ troubleshooter. However, my concern is the ELVISmx Instrument Launcher that opens up and immediately "stops working". In my post I forgot to mention that the myDAQ works fine, both with my VIs as well as the NI MAX self-diagnostics and the tests of analog and digital ports. As mentioned, the trouble seems to be based on the recent update I installed referencing ELVIS in one of the filenames.

Any additional thoughts on the ELVSmx Instrument Launcher?

So, I just installed and launched the troubleshooter. Much to my dismay, I got this message about not finding a run-time engine compatible with LV2009??????

I am running LV home/student 2017, so any suggestions what to try next?

Thanks in advance
