Some of our students have acquired MyDAQs as part of courses at NC & VA (US) colleges where a workbench we developed is in use. The students are asking if there is an issue in taking these MyDAQs back to their home states, and countries, to use in partner (non-profit, academic) research labs back home.
We assume we must have a LabVIEW license for any sites that would evolve the workbench code, correct?
? Is it correct that using "packaged" code to run a workbench that includes a MyDAQ requires no other license running this workbench at the partner research labs? Is the same true for the ELVISmx Instrument launcher and DMM, oscilloscope and other packaged apps? I have browsed the EULAs and other documents and can't find anything prohibiting this use at NP research labs.
We understand and are working on moving the workbench design to a DAQ we could OEM if there is interest, but this is a framework for convenience managing multiple testors in the workshop not a product.
Thanks, Mark
