Accessing myDAQ DMM on MATLAB

Solved!
Go to solution

When trying to use the myDAQ device on MATLAB, I don't find a way to access the DMM functionality.

my_daq = daq.getDevices

correctly lists the myDAQ device with the analog and digital input and output channels, but I can't find the DMM channels among them.

I'm not sure, whether this would rather be a question for the MATLAB central since it is actually MATLAB's DAQ toolbox, which I am using.

Needless to say that the NI example programs and access to the DMM in LabVIEW work fine.

Hi Wuffi again,

I guess the DMM channels are not available with the Matlab DAQ Toolbox, but you would have to contact Matlab and ask them.

Is the DMM essential for your application, or could you also just use an analog input?

Best,
Jan

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your answer. As you correctly assumed, the DMM is not essential and I can indeed use an AI channel.

Still have the same problem, Matlab cannot list mydaq and Vernier devices. Is there any update available Matlab-mydaq?
