try to connect PCB 3711B1150G on myRIO port C

Solved!

Hello everybody

I try to connect the following accelerometer on myRIO port C MSP

http://www.pcb.com/Products.aspx?m=3711B1150G

I want to use myRio as a datalogger for measure acceleration on a mountainbike stem.

When I connect the data wire of the sensor to port C/AIO+ C/AIO-, I get a voltage of 1,3 V displayed in the VI.

If I change the connection of the data wire to port B3/AIO, I get a voltage at about

0,04 V. This amount makes sense because the sensitivity of the sensor is 40 mV/g.

The proplem is that I need analog inputs which support positive and negative voltage for the sensor.

Why does the ports return different values ?

Does anyone have an idea what the reason is ?

Thank you

Sascha

Hello DerSascha82,

what is connected to C/AI0- is there the same ground connected, which supplies the sensor?

Or better how looks the wiring exactly?

best regards
Alexander

Hello Alexander Glasner,

thank you for your response. I fixed the problem this morning. It was a mistake of me. I missed to connect the ground to the C/AIO-. Now the sensor works on myRIO.

I add a picture of the wiring below

best regards

Sascha
