NI myDAQ shown in MAX with USB symbol

Hi guys,

I have a problem with myDAQ device. I have already installed LabView 2013 32bit with all driver updated as shown below in the NI MAX. When i plug in myDAQ, it appeared as the Data Acquisition Devices in Device Manager as normal but in the NI MAX it showed up with the USB symbol (which is supposed to be green symbol if functioning properly). And also, the NI Device Monitor doesn't recognize my device so i have no device input for the LabView VIs. My USB ports are functioning properly as i tried all of them but still came up with the same problem.

I'm using the LabView 2013 Student Edition on Windows 10 Pro and already plugged this device into 2 other computers, both worked fine except mine. I wonder if it were the loose connection of the USB cable through connection to the other 2 PCs or the device may not authorize the third computer to be regconized.

p/s: I tried to run the myDAQ troubleshooting utility installed from the Support NI website but it was unable to locate Labview Run-time Engine so it didn't help.

Hello,

You may want to try updating your DAQmx driver. Please choose the highest version compatible with your version of LabVIEW.

If that doesn't work, you can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. Please let me know if you are still having problems after that.

thank you for your suggestion, ZofiaK. I've already installed the lastest DAQmx 16.1 compatible with my LabVIEW 2013 as described in your link but it doesn't help. My CD package includes LabView 2013 and other drivers with it but i've updated some of them. Plz help me identify which one should be the problem. Many thanks !!!

p/s: the Windows Device Manager recognizes myDAQ as Data Acquisition Devices. that means the USB cable is still fine, isn't it?

If it worked fine on two other computers and won't work on yours, you will want to just try and reset your NI MAX configuration data. Go into NI MAX and go to tools > Reset configuration data. From here, restart NI MAX and then try to connect your myDAQ.

Hi protocoled, I have already tried resetting the NI MAX configuration settings before but it's still the same. Also, I tried all four USB port on my laptop but of no use. The other two laptops worked perfectly with this myDAQ at the very first installment. I wonder if I should reinstall my Windows as the final solution perhaps. Thanks all !!!
