LabVIEW presents different ways of doing the same thing. Is one better? Will one create issues in the future? This presentation will explore the pros and cons of various contested approaches such as timeout or no-timeout, strings or enums, one loop or two loops, tabs or subpanels, VI Server or SubVIs, lvlibs or lvlclasses, queues or events, project folders: virtual or auto-populating, debug logging (in the beginning or as needed).
Presented by Terry Stratoudakis. Terry Stratoudakis has been using LabVIEW since 1998 and has been a Certified LabVIEW Architect since 2010. He has worked on many large and complex projects using LabVIEW and LabVIEW FPGA for energy, defense, and research applications. Terry pioneered the use of LabVIEW FPGA in high performance computing applications for financial and network acceleration. He has taught over 110 weeks of LabVIEW classes. He has a Masters & Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University.
