Job Description

The right individual for the currently available Software Engineer position would join the Engineering Group of Digital Wave Corporation and would participate in the development, deployment, and improvement of our existing and developing products and inspection solutions. A good candidate would meet the minimum skills for the job description listed below, whereas the ideal candidate would meet some or all of the preferred and/or bonus skills.

Minimum Skills

• US Citizenship required
• 2 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in software, electrical, or mechanical engineering (or a strongly related field).
• Proficient in LabVIEW, including basic architectures, the use of queues, state machine design, event structures, event handling, and LabVIEW object oriented programming.
• Current LabVIEW CLD (preferred) or CLAD certification, or the ability to readily obtain.
• Knowledge of Analog-to-Digital Signal conversion and implementation
• Self-starting, driven individual that takes ownership of a problem.

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency in Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
• Proficiency in algorithm development
• Proficiency with LabVIEW advanced architectures such as Actor Framework
• Proficiency with medium to large LabVIEW application development involving parallel processes.
• Proficient with C/C++

Bonus Skills

• Experience with database development/management, including any of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL.
• Motion control systems including Parker Hannifin controllers and drives.
• IT knowledge
• MATLAB experience
• Verilog or VHDL experience
