Open Closed Principle

I had a complete brain fart during my presentation, when somebody asked about the Open Closed Principle.  It means open to extension, closed to modification.  So that means it ok to add more methods to your API, but you can't modify the existing API.

Here is the wikipedia page on it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open–closed_principle

If you google it you will find plenty of examples.
