DQMH use case in Japan

I think this survey highlights the fact that we know nothing about DQMH. No matter how good a tool is, if it is not known, it is as good as nothing.

I attended the NIWeek consultant meeting some years ago (and had words with Fabiola). I am a LabVIEW professional and had insight that I could discuss with you all as equals, but I didn't speak the language, so it was as if I wasn't there.

I look forward to unraveling the DQMH one by one with Joerg and my Japanese colleagues, just as I did when I first came into contact with LabVIEW.

@joerg.hampel @FabiolaDelaCueva

I believe DQMH could be one of main topic in next Japan UG. Unfortunately, I don't know there is DQMH expert in Japan so, Inviting you is good idea I think.
If we could invite you, I would like to hear about

  • GDevCon activities
  • Other UG activities
  • LabVIEW position in external country (many project? many position? etc...)

One of difficulties is, budget... I wish NI had a budget for this.

Seeing as NI most probably does not have a budget for funding our travel expenses, and as it is difficult to find the time to travel to another continent for a single meeting, how do you feel about this:

Fab and I would be more than happy to join your next user group meeting via remote meeting technology. We can surely deliver our presentations and have discussions virtually, we've done that lots of time in the past. How do you feel about that, @Tepig and @J.H.Watson? Perhaps @GRE_ could help us "on the ground" with preparations and translating during the meeting?

Hi Joerg
It is a good idea to have you guys participate and present remotely.

However, doing a demonstration with translation can be somewhat difficult for both sender and receiver. When I was in charge of a virtual course as a CPI, it took me several sessions before I got satisfactory results.

Is there any prior knowledge needed to understand the DQMH?
For example, it may be necessary to explain the QMH. That can be carried by Tepig and myself.

I agree with @J.H.Watson, it is good idea to invite you remotely.

On the technical side, I think we can help on the Japanese side : D

It's been a while since I last participated in this user group's meetings, but I would gladly join and help when you discuss DQMH.

I would like to be active, but my day job keeps me extremely busy and I don't have much time. Sorry.

I wonder how many people are hoping for a second event, and if NI wants to have it?

We will discuss this internally and work on sharing something that helps with preparation. Maybe something similar to a roadmap.

Let me talk to Sergio and NI and figure out what they can do for us.

Report After One Year

DQMH: I've started using it

I've been developing control software for measurement devices with the same basic configuration over a relatively long period.

I'm studying DQMH in the hope that it can resolve issues I've encountered with my custom QMH.

By watching English videos with auto-generated Japanese subtitles and reading the official documentation translated via Google Translate,

I've gradually begun to understand its usage and underlying concepts.

Recently, I created a small module to add new functionality and successfully integrated it into the existing control software.

I am now researching and studying with the goal of migrating the existing custom QMH-based software to a DQMH-based system.

I am grateful for the excellent tool you provide.

Thank you got giving DQMH a try, if you run into any issues or if you have questions, don’t hesitate to ask in this forum.

 Happy wiring!

Fab
