Maze solving using image processing using labview

Hello All

I want to capture a snapshot to a maze with the lab view and then I want to analyse this image and process it and solve the maze and send the direction and distance to a lego robot so it can be able to solve the maze on reality, i don't know from where to start or what tools i need so i need your help please?

Do you think it might make sense to start with an easier project? This sounds a bit complex for your first attempt at programming an NXT robot.
