PCI-7352 Corrupt Firmware

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a system with a PCI-7352 motion card that was running under LabView 7.0. I just upgraded to LabView 8.6 and when I go to MAX and do an initalize I get this:

-70056 (NIMC_corruptFPGAFirmwareError)

The upgrade firmware button is grayed out. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jason

The FPGA1 version is 7.10.3001. Currently the servo is not connected to the card.

Please upgrade to the latest NI-Motion driver which is currentlyversion 7.6. If this doesn't help to resolve the issue, your board probably needs a repair. Please contact your local NI branch to assist you with the repair process

Thanks,

Jochen

Ok, in this case the firmware on the board is obviously corrupt and the board needs a repair.

After talking to NI Tech Support there is an option in MAX to download just the FPGA file. It downloaded successfully and now it works !! I think something had happened during the original firmware upgrade.
