Gateway time server synchronization

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi folk,
I am using a WSN 9791 (Ethernet Gateway) and I have configured the "Time Server" in MAX.

At the start up everything works well. After few days of continuous running, I have noticed a small time shift of the time that is provided by the WSN 9791.
If I switch off and switch on the WSN 9791 the time shift disappears. I suppose that the WSN 9791 synchronizes the time with the time server at start up.

Without rebooting the gateway, there is a way to set how oft the WSN 9791 synchronizes the time with the time server?

Thanks,
Asper

Hi asper,

If the WSN is connected to the Time Server, the synchronization occurs every 60 seconds. Actually there is no way to change this setting.

The only way to force the sync is the target reboot, even though I know it is not such a fancy solution.

Cheers!

Hi MarcoMar,

thanks, your reply is exhaustive.

The issue that I'm experiencing must have a different explanation, I will investigate further.
