Creating a New System

Hi,

I want to develop a new system in which signal is transmitted from one module to another wirelessly.

My constraint is that this communication should be at par with or better than the EtherCAT protocol in terms of data update times and low communication jitter.

It would be really helpful if someone can suggest a hardware module that would support my requirements.

Thanks

If you’re looking to create an EtherCAT-like system, I would not recommend the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). WSN is not meant to be deterministic and is intended more for data-logging and communication in situations where the convenience of a wireless setup is more important than absolute synchronization of the modules. Any system that needs precise deterministic control would not be suitable for WSN.

If you’re interested on some of the capabilities of WSN, you can find more information here.
