"cannot find any configured DAQ hardware" when opening VirtualBench

When I load VirtualBench 2.0, I get the error "VirtualBench cannot find any configured DAQ hardware in this computer.  You will need to exit VirtualBench and run the NI-DAQ Configuration utility before proceeding".  I am trying to read my NI 4350 PCMCIA card, and using Windows 2000 with the driver software version 6.7.  Before, I had a similar error using my a newer computer with Windows XP and the driver software version 7.4.  The card is older, so should I be using older drivers?  Anything else that might work?
The Measurement and Automation software recognizes the card and the test resources and test panel both work fine.  Thanks for any input.

Re: "cannot find any configured DAQ hardware" when opening VirtualBench

Using NI-DAQ 6.7 should fine, however I think VirtualBench 2.0 (March 1997) is too old for the card, I know that VirtualBench 2.6 will work with it.  You can go to the upgrade advisor http://ohm.ni.com/advisors/ua for more info on getting the latest version.

Are you doing Data Logging?  If so you should consider VI Logger instead it released in February 2005, where as the last VirtualBench release was in May 2000.  You can down download VI Logger Lite for free from https://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nigb.main?code=GB_EVALVILOGLITEDOWNLOAD&node=13263  It requires NI-DAQmx 7.0 or higher to be on the machine.
