FFT linear scaling

Hello ,

I use FFT-analysis and I want the plot in a linear scal.

Is this possible?

Best regards

Hello axel_der_hund,

sorry i do not found an option for this, in the standard virtualbench panel the scale is in dB.

An option is How to Automate VirtualBench in LabVIEW.

Hi Bruno,

Within the VirtualBench application, the FFT plot's range is currently fixed in decibel units. Here are two potential ways to achieve your goal:

  1. If you have access to LabVIEW, you can automate VirtualBench in LabVIEW, as Duffy2007 suggested. You would use LabVIEW to read MSO data from VirtualBench, and then use LabVIEW's rich API to calculate an FFT and scale appropriately.

  2. If it is acceptable to work with a single acquisition from the scope, you could export a snapshot from the VirtualBench application in Windows by going to File >> Export Data. The exported CSV will contain your FFT data, which you can then rescale and plot in Excel.

I hope one of the workarounds is helpful to you.

Cheers,

Damon

Hi Damon,

thanks to your answer. To demonstrate the graph in the lectures I need e simple solution.

So I use classic fft-analysers until NI to program the linear scaling in VirtualBench.
