thank you very much . how did u do it? can u teach me ? i have loads of example VIs (2011) that i want to use in labview 2010.

You need to have LabVIEW 2011.  When you open a file in there, you use Save for Previous Version under the file menu and can save back to LabVIEW 2010.

Why would you have loads of 2011 examples if you only have LabVIEW 2010?  You can download an evaluation version of LV 2011 which would be good for 30 days so that you can open the files.
