Here you go. If anyone cares there is a trick required to making this conversion (8.0 --> 7.1) successfully.
You have to use LV v8.0.0. If you try to use a version of 8.0 that has been patched to v8.0.1 then you will most likely end up wit at least some VIs that are corrupted and without block diagrams.

Can anyone please direct me in how I may go about getting an HP 6624a Power Supply Instrument driver downgraded to LabView 6.0
My company just purchased this used vintage piece of equipment. I am now trying to get my feet wet from the deep end of the pool.
I have yet to create any VI test programs that does anything useful, have not yet figured out how to interact with I/O pins to the outside world...
So to get started, I thought, I would try and get my GPIB interface working with my HP6624s Quad power supply. I found an "hp6xxxa.zip" file from the NI download site. I unzipped and placed it into the "instr.lib" folder and It shows up nicely in my Instrument Drivers List, .. but when I try to access the "HP6XXXA DC Power Supply Driver" and drag it into my diagram it immediately causes a catastrophic failure with LabView 6.0 and shuts down the application and pops the following error message "Failure: "image.cpp" line 1565 LabView 6" .....
After further searching into this problem it is apparent that this "hp6xxxa.zip" file is for a later version of LabView... can anyone point me to a version of it that is compatible / downgraded to LabView 6 ?

The oldest LV that I have installed here is v6.1 but that at least offers the option of saving the library to 6.0 so I did that. Here is the un-opened, un-tested result of that conversion. Good luck! (and you may want to consider getting a modern version of LabVIEW).

Awesome!,... i can now drag the instruments into my diagram without crashing. After a 5 minute cursory glance it appears that i can control the voltage outputs from the VI ,....
Thank you very much for your quick response!!!

I'm glad it worked and you are welcome but next time you might do well to follow the rules for this forum wich are outlined here:

and open a new thread for a new request to convert.
