VXI and VME

We have installed a VME-PCI 8015 in a new Windows Vista PC.  The CD that came with the card has drivers for Windows XP, but not explicitly for Vista.  Is this card supported under Vista?  There don't seem to be Vista-specific drivers on the NI web site.  We downloaded the VISA updates (4.5) for Vista in the hope that this would fix the problem, but it doesn't.  Other NI cards (M-Series I/O) install and are recognized properly by the operating system.

Unfortunately, there are not NI-VXI drivers that would work with Vista currently.

Newer versions of NI-VISA and NI-DAQmx on the other hand, do work with Vista.

Would you be able to use a computer that has XP instead?

Yes, we can "downgrade", probably.  I think Lenovo has XP drivers for their new hardware.  Should have done that in the first place...
