Hi RENN,

well, apparently the VXI 3.6 is not supported on Windows 7 anymore. But you can install the latest Version, VXI 3.9 and use the VISA API.

"All VXI programming using NI-VXI 3.7 or later should utilize the NI-VISA API."

Hi Gregor,

i have NI-VXI 3.9 installed on my PC. And i could also see the VXI/VME settings using the VISA instrument property node.

can i create a new VME device using the VISA functions?

i have created a testVI to check the VXI/VME settings offered.  still haven't checked which properties should ne checked to create a VME device.

also had a look at the System Configuration functions, but with no luck. Smiley Sad

Best Regards

RENN
