I've got a brand new ettus x310 usrp I'm trying to interface with labview 2015. UHD is installed and I can ping the device. The UHD utilities insisted I upgrade the firmware from 3.8.2 to 3.9.2. I did. uhd_usrp_probe yields believable results so the device is working. Labview and NI-USRP are installed. When I tried to run an example it popped up the NI-USRP Configuration Utility asking me to update the fpga image. But when I tried I get an ominous warning popup: "Warning: The device does not correctly report its version information. It is possible to damage the device with an incorrect FPGA image. Ensure that you are using a compatable image for the device. Press OK to proceed or Cancel to abort." The FPGA image it wants to upload is "usrp_x310_fpga_HGS.lvbitx". I dont want to brick our brand new $7000 x310. Is the warning in error? What should I do?
Thanks,
ab

Hello,
How and where did you download the UHD? What version is the UHD? And, lastly, did you look at the resource on this Ettus site?

I got the driver right off ettus's website. http://files.ettus.com/binaries/uhd/latest_release/.
As for the linked page, I dont have vivado installed yet (and dont know how to use it yet anyway) so I'm just using the precompiled fpga image that came with the NI-USRP package.
Anyway, with the weekend looming I chanced it and let it upload the image despite the warning. All is well. It works fine (so far.)
