Hi All I purchased a B210 Radio,
GNU radio exmaples work with it but for the life of me I cannot get HDSDR to see the radio,
I bought the Live US Key but to no avail,
The Ubuntu version is 12.10.
I downloads the software to another USB stick and updated the OS now the computer sees the device at USB3
If I do a probe the device is there. I can see aircraft with the ModeS sample reciver
If I try FM there is a stutter on the audio.
When i try to build radio examples from the you tube videos on gnu radio a lot of the options are not there.
I have tried the Live Stick with 4 different computers.
Is there a solution for this or have i just bought expensive usb key and rubber duck.

Hi Techguylre,
So from your post I can see that B210 Radio is manufactured by Ettus which is a National Instruments company. The GNU Radio is a free and open source software that is stated to be compatible with the B210 along with the USRP Hardware Driver (UHD):
http://www.ettus.com/product/details/UB210-KIT
The HDSDR does not specify that it is compatible with this particular device from the link here if it is the same thing that you are talking about:
http://www.hdsdr.de/index.html
Regarding the functions on GNU Radio, are you using the newest version? Is there any information on the version information or any addons used in the youtube videos? It is not a software that we provide support for as we do not make it and it is more of a community project. More info on GNU Radio can be found here:
http://gnuradio.org/redmine/projects/gnuradio/wiki
I assume by mentioning Live US Key and Live Stick you are talking about a bootable USB stick for Linux? In the knowledgebase I can see that the UHD driver supports Linux (2.6 kernel, any distribution):
http://www.ettus.com/kb/detail/frequently-asked-questions
This is the download section on the Ettus Research website that relates to the software to be used for programming the B210:
http://www.ettus.com/downloads
I am not sure what your actual question was, but to conclude, we recommend using the B210 with the GNU open source software and the UHD driver. I could not find any information on the compatibility with HDSDR so I wouldn't be surprised if it is not supported. Regarding, the stutter on the audio, are you sure that all the settings are correct? We will not be able to support GNU radio as we do not make it and there is a whole community for that.
If you do need technical support and believe that the hardware is not working as it should I would recommend visiting:
http://www.ettus.com/support
Eventually you might want to contact them via the contact details provided in the link above, as this product is more specific to Ettus.
Hopefully this helps
Kind Regards,
