X300/X310

Safe to assume that LabView support of these new devices are a ways down on the road map?

Hello Cochenob,

We recently released the USRP RIO which is equivalent to the X310 and 2 RF daughter boards.
WIth the USRP RIO,  users will also get enhanced RF performance because it includes corrections for DC offset, IQ imbalance, and absolute accuracy.

Please check the followiing white paper that has all the information on the USRP RIO.

You can also check this link to see the different available models.

Thanks-

Quick question....on the Ettus site, the spec a Real-Time BW of 120MHz..  The NI site lists 40MHz/channel (or 80MHz total if both channels are used?). what accounts for this difference?  Does the NI version have some extra bandlimiting in the analog stage?

Ettus provides a 40MHz and a 120MHz real time bandwidth versions of the RF daughter boards.

The NI USRP RIO driver  currently supports the 40MHz RF daughter boards.

If your application requires a bigger real time bandwidth, and you want to use the USRP RIO, I encourage you to contact your local NI sales represntative to investigate options.

Thanks Farris.  This makes sense.  Any particular reason NI went with the 40MHz option only at this point?  An issue of pumping data back to the Host?

Just to clarify, if I'm using a WBX-120 (or other XXX-120) card will NI treat it as a 40 MHz card or will it simply not function at all? Would be nice to be able to use the -120 series with both GNURadio and Labview.

Hey reffahcs,

You are able to use the 120 MHz daughterboards in LabVIEW with the NI-USRP host based driver.  This allows you to use them with both LabVIEW and GNURadio.  However, they will not work if you are trying to use the LabVIEW FPGA version of the driver.  There has been very limited testing done with the 120 MHz boards and the NI-USRP driver, but the support for them is there in version 1.3.
