What FPGA-Image to use for the X300 with LabVIEW and NI-USRP 15.0?

Labview refuses to communicate with my X300:

niUSRP Open Rx Session.vi<ERR>A runtime or configuration error occurred.
Code: 1440
Details: RuntimeError: Expected FPGA compatibility number 13, but got 15:
The FPGA image on your device is not compatible with this host code build.
Download the appropriate FPGA images for this version of UHD. ...

Which image is the right one to load into the X300?

Hey Standardnutzer,

"Details: RuntimeError: Expected FPGA compatibility number 13, but got 15:"

Which Version of LabVIEW do you have installed on your PC?

Please also look at this link:

Hi Brandizzl,

I am using LabVIEW2015 (64Bit).

The FPGA-Version the LabVIEW driver is referring to (version 13 or 15) does not match in any way the nomenclature at the ettus website (008.003.001).

Wouldn't it be better to ask Ettus for this question: support@ettus.com

Greetings

The NI-USRP driver installers include compatable FPGA images which are by default installed at: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\NI-USRP\images.  There is a utility to check image versions and update images located at: Start » All Programs » National Instruments » NI-USRP » NI-USRP Configuration Utility, which should direct you to the correct image file for your device.

Here's a link to the NI USRP Getting Started guide: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/375717e.pdf

The Updating Device Firmware and FPGA Images section goes over the information alynch outlined.

This won't work for the Ettus X300.

Follow alynches advice. Thats what I did with the x310 & it worked. I'd be interested in knowing what throughput you get with the x300. I couldnt get past 8 Msps using the 1gbit ethernet interface using labview (which was still 8 times faster than what I got from matlab.)
