0 input Rx usrp 2932

Hello,

I'm trying to run the 2932 NI-USRP.

My system is as follows:

Windows 8.1 64-bit

Labview 2014 64 bit

NI-USRP 14.0

NI-USRP 2932

I have configured the USRP with the recommended firmware in the configuration utility.

The module is recognized by the PC, and the leds are responding well to my Tx or Rx commands.

My problem is that I get 0 V amplitude in all my Rx example VIs.

Please assist here,

Thanks,

Yakir.

2 questions:
1. Is auto scale turned on? It's comon for RX signals to be very small, as low as -70dB
(Even if the Rx amplifier were zapped with ESD from your finger you would still get something on RX that looks like noise.)
2. Do you see any error messages? Any potential driver or config errors should give you an error message or warning.

Hello and thanks for your reply,

1. Auto scale was both on and off and still the chart shows absolute zero.

2. No error messages, my connection to the USRP is quite valid as it seems from the VIs and the USRP leds.

Which shipping example are you using?

I have tried the RX Async VI.

I also assemble a simple Rx chain which also showed 0.

Can you try to another USRP?

Unfortunately no, but I may try another Host.

Do you have any idea where's my fault?

Thanks,

Yakir.

A constant number of zero is impossible if the ADC is working because there will always be quantization noise. No error message means that all communication is happening. My only guess is that the hardware was damaged (too much input power). Trying another device would answer many questions.
