LabVIEW Package Builder Install

Solved!
Go to solution

I want to provide clarity on the process of installing the LabVIEW Package Builder, which is listed in the online manuals.  As with SystemLink installs, you can find the LabVIEW Package Builder in the NI Package Manager.  To locate it, do a search for "package builder" or browse the Add-Ons category.  The Package Builder will install as a LabVIEW Build Specification plug-in, and it works with LabVIEW 2014 and higher.

Hi jlanier,

is it already possible to build such a package (nipkg) with LabVIEW NXG? 1.0 or 2.0 Beta?

Thanks

Andreas

NXG 2.0 will support building packages when it releases.

Hi jlanier,

is it still correct that the "LabVIEW Package Builder" is supported for LabVIEW 2014 and higher? (2014 without SP1)

I am asking because i found different informations.  The NI Packages managers says that it is supported for LabVIEW 2015 and higher.

Thanks a lot

NI's policy is to maintain support for the current and previous 3 versions of LabVIEW.  When we added support for LabVIEW 2018, we dropped support for 2014.
