Hi, I'm in trouble with USBTMC interface. I have an arbitrary waveform generator Siglent SDG1010 with two output channels and
want to control both channels independently, but the VISA Resourse Name function gives me only one USB adress of the generator.
My question is why can I call one channel of the generator using USB address of the device or IEEE-488 commands?

Hey Ivan,
As this isn't an NI product, I'm unsure how much support you'll get with the Siglent arb. However, I've used the SDG1000 (well, actually the LeCroy rebrand, but same thing I guess)... from memory, there's a VI that selects which channel to use, or it's part of each quary/write VI (unclear, it's been a few years). I know the device is capable of receiving channel 2 commands. Under the hood, when you send the VISA commands you'll just start each command with 'C2' instead of 'C1'... I know the VISA wrapper supports this. For example, to turn channel 2 on, the command would be something like "C2: OUT ON"...
