MAX Generated Switch Executive XML configuration file conflicts?

I have distributed a Switch Executive XML configuration file to my test stations using MAX 2.2 (the XML header in the file says "MAX version = 220", but they are now using MAX 3.1 - will this cause a problem? It already seems to take an eternity to load when calling niSE_ImportConfiguration() - (from niSE.dll)

You should not have any problem importing in MAX 3.1 a NISE configuration xml file created under MAx 2.2
