Can I use a PCI-6520 Card with LabVIEW Ver. 5.1?

Hello,

We have an older ver. of LabVIEW, namely ver. 5.1, which has been working fine, in our simple motor-controller application. We wish to implement a new output control function using the NI PCI-6520 (electro-mechanical relays) board, which seems to fit the bill. Question:  Can we use this I/O board with the ver. 5.1 of LabVIEW at all?  If "yes", do we need to procure new additional software module(s) or drivers, to interface properly to that I/O board?

Thank you very much for the assistance!

Best Regards,

Hello tdoptro,

The PCI-6520 is supported only by our NI-DAQmx driver, which is not compatible with LabVIEW 5.1.  NI-DAQmx can only be installed with LabVIEW 7.0 or higher, so if you want to use this board, you would need to upgrade your version of LabVIEW.
