1. There is no counter task for analog inputs - unless you implement the counter part in software. You can rout an analog signal into a counter and use a counter task as long as the signal is TTL conformant As we have discussed multiple on this post.
2. There is nothing you should need to modify for coutner tasks because the counter can detect edges that have pulse widths of at east 12.5 ns (80 MHz timebase). Unless you are getting errors there really shouldn't be anything that you need to modify
