Using 'Chart' option for data logging in SignalExpress 3.0

I am trying to view streaming data in a chart format with SignalExpress 3.0.  Presently, the 'Chart' option is greyed out and I can't figure out what I need to do to make it an option.

You can only select the Chart as an option when you have your acquisition mode set to "1 Sample (On Demand)".

I may be missing something since I'm pretty new at this myself, but I'm able to view incoming data in a chart (sweep, scope, etc) without being in 1 Sample (On Demand) mode.

I have to add an Amplitude and Levels step then drag the signal from within that step into the graph. Then right click the graph>Update Mode... chart options.
