Trying to use a 9472 24V Sourcing Digital Output Module with Signalexpress

Hello All,

I am in need of help in setting up a task in SignalExpress. Here is what I need to do and what I am working with. I have a cDAQ-9178 and am collecting temperature data using a 9213 thermocouple input module. What I need to do. When one of the temperature signals goes above a certain temperature, I need that signal to turn on a 9472 24V sourcing digital output line. I will use that output line to send 24V to a pneumatic solenoid that will turn on a cooling system. Once the monitored temperature drops to a specific level, it will then turn off the 24V output line. I have been using the 9213’s for about six months now with no problems. Now that I have to introduce this new task, I cannot figure how to setup up SignalExpress to make the two modules work together. What do I need to do?

Hello CM45

That is called analog triggering. Basically, we monitor the analog signal and depending on the limit set, it will strat or pause the generations. Sadly. the 9472 does not support analog triggering.
