How do I acquire signals from 9239 board in Signal Express

Hi Everyone,

New here, and fairly new to NI, Sinal express et al.

I have a c-daq 9172 and I am trying to acquire signals from a 9239 voltage card.

I am also using Signal Express 2012.  The software sees the the 9239 but when I try to get signals, I get an error about buffer overflow or something like that.

I know there is an internal clock on this card, but I don't know how to integrate it with the software.

I do have a current card and a thermocouple card on the daq as well, but I only want to collect voltage data.

I want to collect samples very slowly as well, which might me causing me some grief.  1/s or ever  1s/ 10 seconds.

Hope someone can help.

Thanks,

Hi htiek,

The NI website has a lot of resources that can help you get started in Signal Express. This link : http://sine.ni.com/psp/app/doc/p/id/psp-233/lang/en contains access to tutorials, help files, examples, and white papers all on the subject of programming in Signal Express.

With regard to your overflow error, it would appear that your sampling rate is too low for the module. The minimum sampling rate for the 9239 module (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374184k.pdf) is 1.613 kS/s.

Best,

Kristen
