Hi,

My first suggestion would be to try doing a "Repair" on the SignalExpress installation; under Start >> Control Panel >> Programs and Features >> National Instruments Software, select NI LabVIEW SignalExpress 3.0 and press the Repair button.

If that does not work, perhaps you could tell me some of the following:

1. Did you upgrade SignalExpress from a previous version?

2. Did you only install SignalExpress recently, or also other NI software?

Thanks,

Phil

Also, can you provide more information about what happens?  Does SignalExpress or Windows provide any message when this occurs?  Was the product installed from an administrator account?  What type of account are you trying to access SignalExpress from?

Hi Aland,

Great to know that you got it to work. However, SignalExpress will work without disabling UAC. We specifically test for it and there are numerous users who have been working with SignalExpress since release with UAC enabled. There could be something else that's causing this problem. The above mentioned questions might help us find the cause. It definitely would be great if we could continue this conversation. Thank you.

Found out just now that if UAC is disabled the DAQ Assistant in Labview 8.6 stops during initialization and I have to restart LV again. I tried to repair Signal Express, and reinstalled NI-DAQmx 8.7.2. Still same problem. My installed LV 8.5 works, no matter if UAC is disabled or not.

Could be a problem that I exchanged 2 drive letters between them (none of them with installed LabView)?
