Clipping Signal

Hello,

Is it possible to clip a signal at a certain threshold value in SignalExpress? I have about 30 seconds of data that I would like to clip at mean plus-or-minus two standard deviations.

Thanks,

Akshay

Re: Clipping Signal

Hello AkshayHari,

Look for the Limiter.vi in the SignalExpress\Examples\Tutorial directory. The Limiter VI accepts a time-domain waveform as an input, clips the signal above and below values that you specify in the Step Setupdialog box, and returns the clipped waveform as an output signal.

Thanks for your help!

How exactly do I add that VI to my project?

Re: Clipping Signal

Hello AkshayHari,

If you mean to add a VI to your NI Signal Express project, you need to right click the Project area, then "Run LabVIEW VI" and select the LabVIEW version of your VI and browse to it.

Re: Clipping Signal

Hi Eric,

I tried the "Run LabView VI" option, but kept getting an error message saying "Please Select a VI to Open" even after selecting the VI that I wanted to open.

Thanks,

Akshay

Re: Clipping Signal

Hello AkshayHari, is the VI compatible with the version of LabVIEW you select?

I tried all the versions of LabView that were shown as options.

Hello Akshay,

Take a look at the following KB, it gives you some steps to have a VI working in SignalExpress
