Hi

I try to generate a triggered analog output signal with a PCI-4461 card. First I tried to use the NI DAQmx function "start analog edge" with the analog input channel AI0 as source and the analog output channel AO0 as task. After this gave an error I tried to to use the NI DAQmx function "start digital edge" with PCI0 as source and the analog output channel AO0 as task. This ran but didn't produce any output. Now I'm wondering if I can use the analog or digital trigger of the PCI-4461 at all for triggering output.

Hi Pribislav,

do you still have this problem? I did exactly the same configuration (digital edge) and it works well on my system. The PCI-4461 does not support an analog trigger, thats why you get this error.

Thanks  a lot - it works now. Actually I had a problem with the trigger wire.
