How do I do a waveform catalog of all loaded waveforms on RFSG ( 5644R)?

I'm using the NI VST ( 5644R ) and using the C interface to the RFSG ( version 14.5 ) and I want to see what waveforms I've loaded. I can't seem to see a method or attribute which does this.

Hello GordonRo,

I have done some exhaustive research and talked to many of my colleagues and unfortunately there is no way to return a list of all the waveforms written into the memory of your ARB. This is a feature that has been requested before and therefore I am going to file a product suggestion to R&D that they try to implement this in future releases of NI-FGEN/RFSG.

I have also consulted a specialist in our office and his reasoning for this feature not being present is that the waveforms that have been loaded are usually explicitly defined at some other stage of the application, and therefore it is very rare that the VST would need to be "polled" to see what has been loaded.

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, if you have any further queries on this issue then feel free to reply.

Kind regards,
Matt

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the prompt answer. Yes from my perspective ( using the VST like a traditional benchtop VSG ) it does seem odd to not have this feature but I also understand the different use-case models. It's not a huge problem as the SW app can keep track of what's loaded.

Thanks again,

Regards,

Gordon
