Hello!
Often this error will occur when your (gauge sensitivity) x (your excitation voltage) > The range of the card. For example, if your gauge has a sensitivity of 10mV/V and your excitation is 10V (so you're expecting an output of up to 100mV), you'd receive the error if your card only had an input range of 0-50mV. That is, the max output of the strain gauge could exceed the maximum input of the card you're measuring with.
Double check this, and it's likely you'll find the solution to your error.
If not, we'll need some more information from you - including the strain gauge you're using, the NI module you're using to measure strain, and screenshots of your task configuration and error.
