LV 5.01 - can I control SCXI_1161 in SCXI-1000 chassis with SCXI-1200 DAQ card installed?

I'm planning to purchase the SCXI-1161 module and I'm wandering if this module is suitable for my configuration. I'm using LabView 5.01 SCXI-1000 chassis, SCXI-1200 DAQ module, SCXI-1100 module. I couldn't find necessary info on this site

The SCXI-1200 can be used to control the SCXI-1161 digital relay module. The SCXI-1200 can be used to control all of the SCXI modules. So you won't have any trouble adding the SCXI-1161 to your system.

I'm wandering if samples of the programs in LV 5.01 are available for SCXI-1161?
Does this module utilise the SCXI-1200 resources or provides additional outputs?
Is any literature available which will help me to develop the first application using the SCXI-1200 and SCXI-1161 configuration?

Hey John,

There is actually a shipping example that in LabVIEW 5.0.1 that you can use with the SCXI-1161. You can find the example by selecting Search Examples and then going to Data Acquisition>>SCXI and there you will find a VI entitled 'SCXI-116x Digital Ouput VI' that you can use with the SCXI-1161.

Certain digital lines of the SCXI-1200 are used to communicate with and control the SCXI modules but the SCXI-1161 doesn't use any additional digital lines. The document linked below describes which digital lines of the SCXI-1200 are used for the communication.
