Information on acquiring data.

I'm using SCXI 1102c for pressures and flows (192 channels) and also SCXI 1102 for temperatures(96 channels). The data will be sent to disk raw. Should I generate some sort of header with the raw data file that contains information to scale the data? Cal constants, gains, etc...
