Can I daisy chain two SCXI chassis with feedthrough panels to double my analogs?

I have two SCXI 1000 Chassis, both have the 1180 feedthrough panels with 1349 backplane adapters (see sig for full hardware description).

I'd like to daisy chain the two together for an increased 16 total AI channels (8 AI channels per chassis). Is this possible?
I know with a single setup, these channels are MUX'd down to the channel 1 pin on the daq card, so I'm not sure how this would work with an additional physical chassis in series. Would it simply MUX all 16 down to pin 1 or is there a theoretical limit to what that pipeline can handle?

Is this possible or does anyone see any issues? Latency? Hardware limitations, etc?

Correction, they multiplex down to pin 0 of the daq card. Not pin 1

OKors,

It should be possible with the hardware you have. It may not look too pretty but it should work.

Connect from DAQ Card to 1346, from 1346 to 1180, from 1180 to next chassis.

WIth regards to the hardware limitations, there should still be standard latency based on the fact that you are daisy chaining a multiplexing system. Depending on what type of application you are working on, this could potentially be something to keep in mind.
