Re: USB Deployment Reference Design

The DevZone tutorial has not been posted yet. In order to include a link to this forum in the posted document we need to create the forum first, so there will always be a period of about a week where the forum is created, but the document is not yest posted.

Re: USB Deployment Reference Design

Hello,

this design does not make use of FPGA bitfiles. My question is, would this also work with FPGA code that is embedded in an rtexe? In theory I don't see why it would not work, but am having trouble making it work correctly.

Any information on the subject would be appreciated.

Best regards,

Re: USB Deployment Reference Design

Yes, in theory it should work also for any FPGA VIs and bitstreams that are included as part of the RT EXE. Please include a simple example showing the problem or include more detailed information about what is and what is not working.

As long as the master system (source of the image) is working as expected and the target system uses the same HW (same FPGA), this process is designed to copy over the exact image from one system to another.

Re: USB Deployment Reference Design

Hi Christian,

thanks for the information. I still need to do some tests to try and figure out exactly what isn't working right since the ones I have done so far have been somewhat inconclusive. It's good to know though that it should work with FPGA bit-files.

It seems that it doesn't always run the swapping process correctly, but I will do some more tests before I'm able to give more detailed information on what is not working.

Rif.: USB Deployment Reference Design

Hi,

Can it work on sbRIO 9606?

Rif.: USB Deployment Reference Design

This reference design should work on the sbRIO-9606 as well, although we have not specifically tested it on that device.
