use c language in RT target

I want to use c in RT target. In NI document, they say we shoud compile the c file into the *.out file, and upload this *.out file to RT target.

But I was confused how I can get the *.out file. My RT target system is vxworks. Is anyone can help me.

I may be wrong but I believe the C programming is only supported on Linux Target (the new cRIO with Xilinx 7 series and myRIO) .
