cRIO displays in MAX but it is an unidentified network

Solved!
Go to solution

I have recently started working cRIO 9014 and am trying to configure it with my laptop having Labview 14.0 (32-bit) installed. I have installed the same labview version on the crio.

The cRIO is available in the Measurement and Automation Explorer under remote system with an IP address, 169.254.125.17, but it is always displayed as an unidentified network, plus when include it in an FPGA project, LabVIEW says, ' Feature not available' with an IP 0.0.0.0

Please reply asap.

Can you submit some screenshots? That would help to see exactly what it looks like.

I have linked cRIO with a static IP but it shows features not available. What do I need to do?

Do you have the LabVIEW Real-Time Module installed?

Check out this similar discussion:

If you continue to have problems after confirming that LVRT is installed, please share a list of what software you have installed (a screenshot of the list in MAX is sufficient).

I'm out of station currently so I won't be able to test the above solution. I will try it as soon as possible.

Thanks.

If you're still stuck, this topic (http://www.ni.com/getting-started/set-up-hardware/compactrio/first-use) helped me a lot. I also had some issues with my IP. I was working on a network, so I had to set my IP to static. You can find more information on this subject on the link. Be sure that all your drivers are up to date (same year as LabVIEW) and that the scan engine is installed properly, as mentioned before (http://www.ni.com/getting-started/set-up-hardware/compactrio/controller-software).

Good luck!
