Is *.vidb LabVIEW own database format?

Hi,

 

I have seen Cat Surprisedthe file "objFileDB.vidb" with extension .vidb  and wondering Smiley Surprised if this is a LV own DB file format?  Can a developer create DB in this .vidb format for LabVIEW applications?  Do we have API (or functional pallet) for this DB format from NI?

 

FYI:  I found this file under C:\...\Documents\LabVIEW Data\VIObjCache\14.0.0r0
