Developing for cRio-9035 offline

Solved!
Go to solution

In the nearest future I would have to develop software for crio-9035. Since shipping takes some time, I'd like to start wrting code right now w/o any hardware. I've installed:

-LabView 13;

-Real-Time Module 13;

-FPGA Module 13;

And then, obviously, NI-RIO Drivers 14.5.

When I try to create new target in empty project, I don't see my device in any of categories.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I looked at my own system and it seems I was able to find the 9035 in LabVIEW 2014 SP1, but not in 2013 SP1. I looked further into it and it looks like because the 9035 is such a new product it requires at least LabVIEW 2014 SP1 or later.

You can find this in the manual on page 2, or follow this link http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/376935a_02.pdf#page=2

Probably 99% or more of the features of the cRIO-903x are the same as the cRIO-906x, which did exist in LV RT 2013, so you could use that for now. But you'd need to update to at least 2014 anyway to deploy, so you may want to go ahead and do that now.
