How do I install the Multisim co-simulation plug-in for LabVIEW 2014?

I recommend you install Multisim 14.0.1 since it has native support for LabVIEW 2015 and LabVIEW 2014 as well as the fix to the bug reported above. (When running LabVIEW-Multisim co-simulation, Multisim may crash if the Multisim design file is copied to a new location and the VI is updated to reference that new location.)

Here are links to the Multisim 14.0.1 installers:

NI Circuit Design Suite Power Professional 14.0.1 - Full and Base Editions

NI Circuit Design Suite Educational Edition 14.0.1

When you install, be sure to choose to install the NI LabVIEW Multisim Co-Simulation Plug-in.

If you want to install co-simulation support for LabVIEW 2016, install Multisim 14.0.1 and then follow these instructions.

1. Install 7-Zip if it is not already installed. Download this zip file (Multisim Design.zip) and place it in the folder below. Then right-click and select 7-Zip>Extract Here.

C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2016\vi.lib\Simulation\EMI\Plugins

Then the ..\Multsim Design folder should appear as shown below.

2. Download this zip file (help.zip) and place it in the folder below. Then right-click and select 7-Zip>Extract Here.

C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2016\help

Then the ..\help folder should include the files "msmcosim.chm" and "msmcosim.txt" as shown below.

3. Then restart LabVIEW.

To test your installation, I recommend you try running this LabVIEW FPGA/Multisim co-simulation tutorial project. It is a good starting point for developing your own custom power converter circuit model and control algorithms.
