NIWeek 2011 Day 2 Keynote Products

See the information below on demos shown in the NIWeek 2011 Wednesday keynote.

Using NI FlexRIO to Develop a High-Speed, Compact OCT Imaging System

Santec Corporation needed to redesign their optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging system to increase the imaging speed and reduce the size . Using NI FlexRIO and field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology, they were able to create an OCT system that achieved a 4X speed increase and a dramatically smaller footprint compared to their previous solution.

NI Wireless Sensor Networks

With the NI wireless sensor network (WSN) platform, you easily can monitor your assets or environment with reliable, battery-powered measurement nodes that offer industrial ratings and local analysis and control capabilities. Each wireless network can scale from tens to hundreds of nodes and seamlessly integrate with existing wired measurement and control systems.

NI Technical Data Cloud

Technical Data Cloud (TDC) is an upcoming cloud-based NI service. Through a set of LabVIEW VIs, users will be able to securely log and store data in the cloud from desktop and embedded systems, and then easily share the data with authorized users. TDC is initially targeted at NI customers developing monitoring applications in areas such as machine condition monitoring, environmental monitoring, and structural health monitoring, which often deploy headless monitoring solutions based on NI hardware like cRIO, sbRIO and WSN.

LabVIEW Web UI Builder

LabVIEW Web UI Builder is a hosted, browser-based graphical programming editor for developing thin client applications comparable to those created with Adobe Flash or JavaScript. With Web UI Builder, users can quickly create dynamic web-based applications that communicate across the internet through web services developed with LabVIEW or other programming languages. LabVIEW users typically use Web UI Builder to create light-weight web interfaces for monitoring or controlling distributed test and measurement systems based like PXI or CompactRIO.
